Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) v14.3.3 introduces a revamped driver monitoring system. After earlier versions relaxed the requirements, the update is set to hold drivers more accountable from June 3.

Improved Attention Detection

According to the release notes, the update aims to tighten driver monitoring. Tests showed that the system now responds more quickly to inattention.

Practical Test

Our test on the highway showed: With brief distraction, a warning tone sounds after 5 seconds. With prolonged inattention, the autopilot is deactivated. The system also reliably detects phone usage.
