Tesla has officially submitted its application for Full Self-Driving (Supervised) to Taiwan's Vehicle Safety Certification Center (VSCC). The application is now in the formal review process.
The submission is a significant step for Tesla to obtain regulatory approval for deploying FSD Supervised in Taiwan. The VSCC is responsible for assessing the system's compliance with local vehicle safety standards.
This development aligns with Tesla's broader global expansion strategy, as shown by recent progress in several markets tracked on the Global FSD Status page.
According to the latest data from the Global FSD Tracker, Taiwan is listed with a Supervised target of Q4 2026 and an Unsupervised target of Q4 2027. The current status is noted as "Application submitted."
The VSCC review is a standard part of Taiwan's vehicle certification process. Tesla's application includes the necessary technical documentation and safety validation data required for advanced driver assistance systems.
Similar structured reviews have also been conducted in other markets, including the detailed safety report framework of the NHTSA in the United States.
Once the VSCC completes its review, Tesla will be able to begin supervised FSD operation. This process mirrors the regulatory path Tesla has followed in other regions as it works toward broader deployment.
Further updates on Taiwan's status will be published on the Global FSD Tracker and Tesla's official FSD support page.
