Tesla has introduced a new in-car celebration feature that rewards owners who cover significant distances with Full Self-Driving (Supervised). The playful feature was shared on Friday morning by Tesla FSD user and distance legend David Moss, who discovered it in his 2025 Model 3.
Gamification for FSD Enthusiasts
The feature displays an animation or symbol on the screen when a driver reaches a certain milestone, such as 1,000 km or more. This is similar to achievements in video games and is intended to motivate users to use FSD more frequently. Moss shared an image of his display showing a special "milestone sticker".
More Than Just a Game: Safety Relevance
Tesla emphasizes that the use of FSD (Supervised) is under constant driver supervision and that safety is the top priority. The new reward feature could also help build trust in the technology by highlighting positive experiences. Already in other countries such as Europe or the USA, studies show that FSD reduces accident rates.
Outlook: More Features on the Way
The discovery comes just days after Tesla rolled out update v14.3.4 with Smart Summon for the Cybertruck. The gamification sequence shows how Tesla improves the user experience through small surprises without affecting core functionality. European drivers can currently only use FSD in countries like Germany, Belgium, and Denmark, but the steady expansion of approvals – most recently Belgium – suggests imminent availability across Europe.
